On Monday, 16 November 2015, Landbridge Group commenced a long term partnership to lease the Port of Darwin, specifically East Arm Wharf (including the Darwin Marine Supply Base and Vopak site) and Fort Hill Wharf. An exotic and invasive ant has been detected at East Arm Wharf.  The “Browsing Ant”  (Lepisiota sp.) is black in colour, about three millimetres in length and will eat and displace native ant species.
