Landbridge has recently sponsored students from the indigenous education programs, Stars Foundation and Clontarf to participate as a youth crew member on the Young Endeavour, currently sailing the East Coast of Australia. Clontarf student, Claydon Outerbridge from Dalby State High School sailed on the Mackay to Brisbane voyage in September while Taleisha Ahmat, a Stars Foundation student from Darwin sailed on the Brisbane to Newcastle voyage in October 2017.
The Young Endeavour program provides the youth crew with amazing opportunities to develop leadership, team building and interpersonal skills while facing new challenges and creating life long memories. Many students find the experience life changing, pushing their abilities beyond their expectations as they strive to achieve success during their 10 day voyage.
