Landbridge and Darwin Port are pleased to announce the renewal of its partnership with Clontarf Foundation for a three-year term. Clontarf Foundation works with young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander boys to help them reach their potential through education and life skills.
Non-Executive Director for Landbridge Terry O’Connor, said Clontarf continues to excel with their programs by working in partnership with businesses to offer real-life workplace experience and opportunities for the advancement of their students.
“Clontarf Foundation offers young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander boys opportunities for education while also developing life skills that can then be taken back to their communities.
“We’re really excited to renew this partnership and build on the already strong platform we have with Clontarf,” he said.
Darwin Port CEO Peter Dummett said Darwin Port has a close working relationship with the Foundation, working in partnership since 2017.
“We consider Clontarf as one of our flagship partnerships at the Port, our support is both financial and in-kind. The students are offered a wide range of opportunities including workplace visits, work experience, employment training forums and sporting events with our team at Darwin Port.”
“We also work with other partners such as Svitzer to trial new opportunities, such as a school-based initiative, which aims to introduce students to career pathways early, he said.”
Clontarf Foundation CEO, Gerard Neesham, said Clontarf is delighted to extend its partnership with Landbridge and Darwin Port.
“We thoroughly enjoy collaborating with Darwin Port. The team is incredibly accommodating and eager to involve our academy members in numerous learning and development opportunities. Our young men gain invaluable insights from their visits to the Port and their meaningful interactions with Darwin Port staff.”
